Blog.FastSSH.com — VPN network on your windows, you can hotspot. This Hotspot method is slightly different from the hotspot method in general. The VPN network that you can hotspot is a network that comes from the OpenVPN, Wireguard, Softether application, or an application that has a Tun/TAP adapter. If the VPN application you are using doesn’t have a tun/tap adapter, you can try cooperating with SSTAp. By hotspoting your VPN network, other devices such as Laptop/PC, android, and smart tv can also use the VPN Network, with the same VPN Server. How to Hotspot VPN Connection on Windows
There are 2 methods of this VPN network hotspot, namely Using the Windows 10 Default Hotspot Application & Using the Baidu Hostspot Application.
1. VPN Network Tethering With Windows 10 Default Apps
Keep in mind that you only use this method on Windows 10/11.
First, connect to the VPN network that you want to hotspot.
Then open Settings via the Start menu.
After that, click Network & Internet.
Then click Mobile Hotspot, then turn on the Hotspot.
After that click the “Share my internet connection from” button and select Wi-FI.
Click Edit to edit your hotspot name and password.
Then go to Settings > Network and Internet > Change adapter options:
After that Right Click TAP Adapter from wireguard, softether or openvpn that you are using and click Properties.
Select the Sharing tab and check the box for Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection. Select the hotspot you just created. You can see its name above the adapter marked as Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter.
Finally, connect the Hotspot network that you created earlier.
Done.
2. VPN Network Hotspot With Baidu Wifi Hotspot Application
First, download Baidu Hotspot via the link below:
Then install the Baidu Hotspot application.
Once installed, Baidu Hotspot will automatically open.
Then wait for the hotspot creation process, if successful it will say “Connect your phone to enjoy free WiFI!“. You can change your hotspot name and password via the menu on the Baidu Hotspot application.
Then go to Settings > Network and Internet > Change adapter options:
After that Right Click TAP Adapter from wireguard, softether or openvpn that you are using and click Properties.
Select the Sharing tab and check the box for Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection. Select the hotspot you just created. You can see its name above the adapter marked as Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter.
Finally, connect the Hotspot network that you created earlier.
